Ex-Red Bull boss Horner Allegedly Reaching Out to Numerous Grand Prix Team Bosses
Previous Red Bull chief Christian Horner is allegedly "ringing up pretty much every team owner" as he pursues a re-entry to grand prix racing, according to Aston Martin F1 CEO Andy Cowell.
The British racing team is included in the organizations that are connected to the former chief.
Cowell stated he had verified the circumstances with team owner Lawrence Stroll on Friday at the Singapore Grand Prix.
"It appears that Christian is getting in touch with most team bosses at the moment," commented the executive.
"I can clearly say there are no intentions for the engagement of Christian in an operational or investment role in the future."
Additional Squads Comment
The American team boss Ayao Komatsu disclosed that the ex-chief had "contacted" the US-based team but noted: "Nothing has gone any further. The matter is closed."
Alpine managing director Steve Nielsen revealed the squad's senior consultant and acting leader Flavio Briatore was "long-standing acquaintances" with the former principal.
The Alpine director continued: "I have no knowledge what they discuss. What I understand is there are no arrangements for Christian to come to Alpine but that isn't to say it might not transpire."
The historic British team chief James Vowles stated that the ex-chief had not approached them.
"We're content with the organization we have and it's effective," Vowles said. "I see no justification to modify it."
Historical Information
The ex-Red Bull chief is free to return F1 by the middle of next year after finalising a separation agreement with the energy drink company on September 22nd.
The veteran motorsport figure was dismissed as the team's leader after the British GP in July.
Multiple sources at the racing team have indicated the financial arrangement was valued at €60 million (52 million pounds).
